Attaching a new address to the tangle used to remain as pending.

Also, the isReattachable API call seems to work incorrectly. It returns true even if the address hasn't spent any iota, but merely has a 0-value transaction associated with it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  • The first question needs to be more specific. How did you attach it and was there any log or message? – Wayne Wu Nov 8 at 16:00
  • I attached it with the wallet, usually this would just create 0-value transaction that is always pending. But, it looks like it now confirms that transaction – iotaman Nov 8 at 16:24
  • Also, the (deprecated) isReattachable function is supposed to check whether you can still spend from an address (i.e. its key has not been used). And for an address that has no transactions yet, this is certainly true. Once it has spent (and the spending transaction confirmed), it will be false. – mihi Nov 8 at 20:49
