How to check if my neighbors are synced

Is there a way to check if my neighbors are synced?

I had a synced node (using the DB and 2 swarmnodes) and then added some neighbors (7). Since then, it seems that my node stopped being synced and does barely make any progress. Can it be that the nodes I am connected to aren't in sync? And if so, how can I spot those?

Using the IRI API, you can use getNeighbors to get the addresses and then getNodeInfo to obtain the latestSolidSubtangleMilestoneIndex and latestMilestoneIndex.

Only works if the neighbors have open APIs.
